He earned his PhD in Civil Engineering from UPV, graduating as the top-ranked student in 1997. His doctoral thesis, which delved into flow modeling and mass transport in fractured media, garnered the Extraordinary Doctoral Prize from UPV in 2005.
From 1998 to 1999, he served as an Environmental Quality Engineer in the Waste and Pollution Service of the Department of the Environment of the Generalitat Valenciana. In 2008, he embarked on a year-long journey as a guest researcher within the Geothermal Group at the Center for Applied Geoscience of the Eberhard-Karls University of Tübingen, Germany. During this tenure, he pioneered the application of geostatistical simulation techniques to address surface geothermal problems.
In 2012, he assumed the role of Technical Director at the Metropolitan Entity for Waste Treatment (EMTRE), where he held the highest technical responsibility for managing urban solid waste facilities in the metropolitan area of Valencia.
His primary research interests encompass a broad spectrum of environmental engineering disciplines, including groundwater contamination, environmental impact assessment, solid waste management, and contaminated soils.
