Dr. David Moratal is Full Professor (“Catedrático de Universidad”) of Medical Imaging and Electronic Technology at the Universitat Politècnica de València, Valencia, Spain.
Dr. Moratal also work as a Consultant in the field of Artificial Intelligence in medical imaging, for the determination of quantitative medical imaging biomarkers, mainly from magnetic resonance and computed tomography image analysis.
His research interests lie in the application of radiomics, machine learning techniques and deep learning approaches for the development of medical image quantification tools and computer-aided diagnosis systems with a special focus on cardiology, neuroimaging, and oncology.
Since 2016 Dr. Moratal is the Director of the Fundación QUAES Business Chair at the Universitat Politècnica de València.
